Shortlisted applicants to report at Customs Command and Staff College, Gwagwalada, Abuja, with original, photocopied credentials

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has announced the schedule for the physical screening and documentation exercise for successful candidates shortlisted for recruitment into the Service.
According to a statement issued on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, by the NCS National Public Relations Officer, Deputy Comptroller of Customs Abdullahi Maiwada, the exercise will be conducted at the Nigeria Customs Command and Staff College (NCCSC), Gwagwalada, Abuja.
The Service directed all shortlisted candidates to appear for the exercise with the original and photocopies of their required credentials and supporting documents.
The documents to be presented include the National Identification Number (NIN), original Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age, as well as educational certificates relevant to the qualifications submitted during the recruitment process.
The NCS listed the acceptable educational credentials to include Ordinary Level (O’Level), National Diploma (ND), Higher National Diploma (HND), Degree and other applicable qualifications.
Candidates are also required to present a Certificate of State of Origin, two recent passport photographs and a completed Guarantor’s Form.
Those for whom it is applicable are equally required to present their National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Certificate.
The Service further directed candidates attending the physical screening to dress appropriately for the exercise. They are expected to wear a white T-shirt, shorts and canvas shoes.
The NCS stressed that candidates must report strictly on the date allocated to their respective states and cadres, warning that attendance at the physical screening and documentation exercise is compulsory.
It added that any shortlisted candidate who fails to appear as scheduled may be disqualified from the recruitment process.
The Service explained that candidates who successfully complete the physical screening and documentation exercise would subsequently receive further instructions regarding the next stages of the recruitment process.
The NCS, under the leadership of the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, MFR, and his management team, also assured candidates and the general public that the recruitment exercise would be conducted in a transparent, fair and merit-based manner.
The Service urged all shortlisted candidates to rely solely on official NCS communication channels for authentic information concerning the screening, documentation and subsequent stages of the recruitment exercise.
